Frequently asked questions

It's important to know that your furry friend is being looked after when choosing your preferred groomer, therefore it's only natural to have a few questions. There's a few I get asked regularly, so feel free to take a look through.

What payment methods do you take? 

Cash or Card only, payable at the time of groom.

What areas do you cover? 

I cover a 5 mile radius from the Pedmore area.

 

These areas include;
Proudly serving
Pedmore, Hagley, Clent, Blakedown, Broome, Chaddesley Corbett, Halesowen, Romsley, Oldswinford, Stourbridge, Norton, Stourton, Kinver, Amblecote, Brierley Hill, Cradley Heath, Lye and Kingswinford. 


I am able to travel further for an additional mileage charge, subject to initial quotation.

What is your work experience? 

I have over 12 years experience working with animals, which includes dog walking, pet sitting, first aid and grooming.


In my earlier years I gained a lot of experience by working in kennels and catteries. From there I progressed to university where I obtained my BSc Animal Welfare Degree.

 

Once graduated I extended my training further with a Level 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming.

Do you groom pregnant or unvaccinated dogs? 

Yes, however this is at the owners own risk and a consent form will need to be signed.

 

Due to my service being focused on grooming in your own home, your dogs are not around other dogs, meaning no additional risk.  

 

Pregnant bitches can be groomed up to 10 days before their due date.

Do you have a van? 

I do not have a van. My service is designed to be setup in your home, where I will groom your lovely dogs. This is different to a mobile van service, so please make sure this is understood before booking a groom.

How fast can I get a quote? 

I will normally respond same day, but please bare in mind that I am grooming, therefore it's not always possible for me to answer my phone or reply straight away. The best way to contact me is via text message or email.

Can I cancel or change my appointment? 

If you need to cancel or re-arrange, then that's no problem! All I ask is for 48 hours notice so I can try and offer your slot to someone on the waiting list.

 

Cancellations made after the 48 hour notice period will result in a 50% cancellation fee, which must be paid before any future grooming appointments can be booked.

Do you offer nail clipping? 

Yes, nail clipping is including in my grooming packages.

 

If nail clipping is required as a standalone service, then it would be charged at a minimum charge of £25.00, subject to availability.

Do you do ear plucking and anal glands? 

Unfortunately, due to the invasive nature and potential risk to infection, these are two procedures which are recommended to be undertaken by a qualified vet.

 

Therefore this is not part of the service that I offer.
